- The room should be bright, with well-adjusted ventilation, several light bulbs for additional lighting in the winter. The most acceptable humidity for high productivity is 60-70%, temperature + 16 ... +20 degrees. In winter, it should not fall below +5 degrees Celsius.
- The litter is made from hay, straw or sawdust, peat (can be combined). Change it as pollution.
- Feeding troughs by quantity or length should be sufficient for all birds. Approximately 15 cm of feeding trough is taken away per adult.
- Not all crested ducks need ponds, and yet it is desirable to provide the bird with access to water, or at least a large trough of water, so that birds can squish in it at will.

When breeding crested ducks, individuals are sometimes born without a tuft. In order for the breed not to lose the species characteristics, it is necessary to leave for breeding exclusively those individuals that have a crest, and reject the rest.
What to feed the crested ducks

If you let the ducks float on the reservoirs, you can significantly reduce the cost of food, because during the day-walk you will not be able to feed the bird.
In order for the ducks to digest well in the stomach, it is necessary in a separate bowl for them to pour crushed shells, fine gravel, and ground egg shells. They eat this mixture as needed.
If individuals are not allowed to walk, you must give food 4 times a day. In the evening and in the morning give dry cereal mixtures, and in the afternoon - wet vegetable mash. If the bird walks during the day, then you can feed the ducks 2-3 times a day, because on the walk the birds find a lot of fresh food. In drinking bowls, water changes as often as possible so that it does not have time to run out or become dirty.
